About The Position

ALO is seeking a highly motivated analyst to support business planning across its growing retail store portfolio. The role translates financial, sales, and operational data into actionable insights that inform store-level decisions and broader retail strategy. Working closely with Retail Operations, FP&A, Real Estate, and Planning, the analyst supports forecasting, evaluates business performance, and identifies opportunities to improve productivity and profitability. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills and sound business judgment with the ability to communicate clear recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
3–4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate or operations finance, consulting, or a related discipline.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret large data sets, structure ambiguous problems, and develop actionable recommendations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships across functions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial and operational insights to non-financial audiences.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability, initiative, and sound judgment when responding to evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Support retail sales forecasting and business planning by analyzing historical performance, seasonality, and key business drivers.
Evaluate sales, operating expenses, and store profitability to identify performance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain reporting on key retail metrics, including sales, traffic, conversion, and profitability.
Analyze actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year performance; explain variances and recommend actions.
Identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities at the store, regional, and retail portfolio levels.
Collaborate with FP&A, Real Estate, Planning, and Retail Operations to inform business decisions and evaluate retail initiatives.
Deliver timely, accurate analyses in response to business questions from retail teams and senior leadership.
Present findings through concise reports, visualizations, and presentations that translate complex data into clear business recommendations.
Improve reporting tools and analytical processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and visibility into retail performance.
