Retail Pharmacy Technician (Bilingual Spanish)
About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Retail Pharmacy Technician to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. This role is crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need. The technician will build relationships with patients and assist pharmacists in preparing and delivering prescriptions. The position is based at the United Health Centers Pharmacy in Huron, CA, with potential travel to other United Health Centers Pharmacies as needed. Pharmacy hours are Monday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Tuesday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, with hours subject to change. Saturday rotation at sites with Saturday pharmacy is required.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of California required
- Fluent in Spanish required
- May require vendor credentialing
Nice To Haves
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- 2 plus years with retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
- 340B experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
- Understand that pharmacy work requirements are varied and may change.
- Be available to customers/patients at all times.
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
- Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions and preparing labels and calculating quantities.
- Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed with regards to 340B.
- Travel at a moment's notice to cover other United Health Centers Pharmacies, as needed.
- Work an eight-hour shift minimum, at least once every 90 days.
