About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a motivated Retail Pharmacy Technician to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy located at Orange City Area Health System Outpatient Hospital Pharmacy. This part-time position involves 1-3 days per week (4-8 hour days), totaling approximately 15 hours per week. Our technicians are crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, fostering patient relationships, and assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions. We are committed to improving patient access and increasing the quality of care.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent, preferred.
Registration in the state in which the position is located (if applicable).
PTCB Certification or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience.
340B experience preferred.
Vendor credentialing may be required.

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Adapt to varied pharmacy requirements and changing demands.
Be available to customers/patients at all times.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed regarding 340B.
