About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a PRN Retail Pharmacy Technician for its Sonoma Community Health Center location. With over 45 years of experience, Cardinal Health provides pharmaceutical solutions to healthcare facilities, focusing on population health management, HRSA compliance, and medication adherence. This role is crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, involving direct patient interaction and assisting pharmacists in prescription preparation and delivery. The position is located at Sonoma Valley Community Health Center and may require floating to other locations to cover hours. This is a PRN position for PTO and as-needed coverage.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent, preferred
Registration in state in which the position is located (if applicable)
1-2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
340B experience preferred
Fluent in Spanish, highly preferred
May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Understand that pharmacy work requirements are varied and may change.
Be available to customers/patients at all times.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organize medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions and preparing labels.
Calculate quantities for prescriptions.
Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed regarding 340B.
