About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician for ongoing coverage opportunities with community pharmacies in the Coeur d'Alene area. This opportunity is ideal for technicians seeking flexible supplemental work while supporting established pharmacy teams. Coverage needs may arise due to vacations, staffing changes, meetings, and other operational needs throughout the year. Training is available, and opportunities may range from single-day coverage to recurring PRN schedules. The role involves providing patient-oriented retail pharmacy services, prescription counting, processing, and filling, managing inventory, and performing tasks assigned by the pharmacist.
Requirements
- Active Idaho Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
- Retail or community pharmacy experience preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- ID Pharmacy Technician Certification
- Knowledge and experience of pharmacy practice
- Interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Assist with prescription processing and order entry
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and operations
- Provide excellent customer service to patients
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to ensure efficient service
- Prescription counting, processing and filling
- Managing inventory and performing tasks assigned by the pharmacist
