About The Position

Cardinal Health is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Technician to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. This role is crucial for delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need. The technician will build relationships with patients and assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescriptions. The pharmacy operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and the schedule is PRN (as needed). Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Registration in the state in which the position is located (if applicable).
  • At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred.
  • 340B experience preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish required.
  • May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
  • Understand that pharmacy work requirements are varied and may change based on departmental demands.
  • Be available to customers/patients at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Organize medications for pharmacist dispensing by profiling prescriptions and preparing labels.
  • Calculate quantities for prescriptions.
  • Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when necessary.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed regarding 340B.
