About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a motivated Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Technician to work in a Cardinal-managed hospital-based retail pharmacy. Our technicians are crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need. This role involves building relationships with patients and assisting pharmacists in accurately preparing and dispensing prescriptions. Cardinal Health pharmacy programs are designed for healthcare facilities, addressing population health management needs and improving patient access and quality of care.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent, preferred
Current Pharmacy Technician License in Indiana
At least 2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
May require vendor credentialing

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Adapt to varied pharmacy work requirements and changing departmental demands.
Be available to customers/patients at all times.
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organize medications for pharmacist dispensing by profiling prescriptions and preparing labels.
Calculate medication quantities.
Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed, particularly with regards to 340B.
