About The Position

Our dynamic outpatient team at Parkland Health Center in Farmington, MO is looking for a patient-centered and motivated pharmacy tech! If you are passionate about serving patients in our rural communities, this is the role for you! If you have retail pharmacy experience, we would love to hear from you! This position is responsible for entering information into the pharmacy IT system, selling prescriptions, managing inventory and completing prescription workflow steps.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience
• State Bd Pharm Registration

Responsibilities

• Completes clerical duties, to include sending and receiving tubes & faxes, filing prescriptions, processing mail & courier prescriptions.
• Enters customer, insurance and prescription information and completes prescription transfers.
• Sells prescriptions (POS system), handles cash, manages payment exceptions and reconciles cash.
• Orders and manages inventory (drug and non-drug); stocks shelves; rotates, organizes, and removes expired product; performs cycle counts and returns to stock.
• Completes data entry, contact manager, product dispensing (manual and automated via Parata and RxSafe), and basic compounding.
