About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a Per Diem Retail Pharmacist to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. This role is crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, including services like immunizations, patient consultation, and medication therapy management. The pharmacy operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is a PRN (as needed) position to cover vacation and sick time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
- Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- 340B experience preferred.
- May require vendor credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers under the direct supervision of a manager.
- Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
- Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
- Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
- Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
- Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
