About The Position

Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a highly motivated PRN Retail Pharmacist to work in a company-owned retail contract pharmacy located at West Cecil Community Pharmacy in Conowingo, MD. This role is crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, focusing on immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and managing high-risk patients. Our Community Health Center programs are designed to address population health management needs and improve patient access and quality of care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
May require vendor credentialing.

Nice To Haves

340B experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
