PRN Retail Pharmacist
About The Position
Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions is seeking a PRN Retail Pharmacist to cover PRN on-call needs for PTO and vacation. This role will support Petaluma Health Center and other Santa Rosa locations, with optional coverage for the Sonoma location. Cardinal Health Community Health Center programs are designed for healthcare facilities, addressing population health management needs from HRSA compliance to medication adherence. Our pharmacists are crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in underserved communities, focusing on patient consultation, medication therapy management, and high-risk patient management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
- CA Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
Nice To Haves
- 340B experience preferred.
- May require vendor credentialing.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
- Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
- Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
- Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
- Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
- Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
