Requirements

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License required.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills required.
• Experience with pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required.
• APhA Immunization Certification and BLS required.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of previous pharmacy retail experience preferred.
• Previous retail supervisory or PIC experience preferred.
• Experience working with Ambulatory Pharmacy Teams preferred.
• 340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility)

Responsibilities

• Assist the Retail Pharmacy Manager in outpatient pharmacy operations.
• Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital or the outpatient pharmacy, while ensuring patient safety.
• Provide patient care in areas including General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Perioperative, Geriatrics, and Outpatient Services including Immunizations, Meds to Beds, and coordination with Pharmacotherapy, Population Health, and Specialty Pharmacy teams.
