About The Position

The Retail Pharmacist practices outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the care transition model. The role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for a single pharmacy, compounds and dispenses prescribed medications, and supports staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Two years of retail pharmacy experience.
• Current license in good standing to practice pharmacy in the appropriate state.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to speak effectively to customers or other members of the organization.
• Able to perform arithmetic using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Working knowledge and experience with pharmacy software, Microsoft Word, and the internet.

Nice To Haves

• A Controlled Substance license may be required.
• Immunization certification may be required.
