This specific position is located at Family Healthcare of Hagerstown and operates within a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. The role is PRN, meaning it's on an as-needed basis to cover Paid Time Off (PTO). Cardinal Health Community Health Center programs are designed for healthcare facilities, addressing population health management needs and improving patient access and quality of care. Our pharmacists are crucial in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care to communities in need, including services like immunizations, patient consultation, medication therapy management, and potential management of high-risk patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy required, PharmD preferred.
  • Pharmacist registration in the state where the position is located.
  • Immunization Certification or willingness to become a certified immunizer within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Interpersonal relations and customer service skills.
  • May require vendor credentialing.

Nice To Haves

  • 340B experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customers under the direct supervision of a manager.
  • Maintaining open communication and being available to customers and practitioner sites for consultation.
  • Participating in the supervision of technical staff.
  • Ensuring pharmacy compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
  • Providing professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilities.
  • Completing pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
