About The Position

We’re looking for a Retail Operations Manager who can keep the krewe marching in perfect rhythm. This role blends operational excellence with the vibrant spirit of New Orleans—think precision meets parade energy. You’ll lead initiatives that make our dispensary operations smooth as jazz, train teams to deliver unforgettable customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Ability to balance festive energy with compliance and professionalism.
  • Must meet all state requirements for cannabis employment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives at once.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • 2+ years in retail leadership, operations, or training (cannabis experience is a bonus).
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to sit or stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
  • The ability to work in low-light situations
  • Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
  • Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of retail operations: cash handling, labor management, inventory control, and compliance.
  • Monitor KPIs, sales trends, and ticket resolutions to keep stores performing like a well-tuned jazz band.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Louisiana cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
  • Partner with leadership to streamline workflows and implement data-driven improvements.
  • Lead engaging workshops and hands-on sessions that make learning feel like a second line parade.
  • Develop training materials—guides, videos, job aids—that are clear, effective, and easy to follow.
  • Coach store teams on inventory movement, audits, menu management, and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure every guest feels welcomed like they just stepped into a Bourbon Street celebration
  • Support store teams in delivering top-tier service while maintaining compliance and professionalism.
  • Handle escalated service issues with charm and efficiency.
  • Keep internal messaging lively and timely so every team member knows the latest beat.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to harmonize projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
