About The Position

Chuck Latham Associates (CLA), a leading pet sales and branding agency, is seeking passionate and energetic merchandisers to join their team. This role, titled Assisted Sales Representative (ASR), involves promoting various product lines within specialty retail stores. The position offers hourly pay, mileage/drive time reimbursement, and a monthly smart device stipend. It is a professional, part-time merchandising role with flexible monthly hours, requiring self-management and a strong attention to detail.

Requirements

Strong technical skills with smartphone/tablet technology.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule, potentially including some weekends.
Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor for interacting with the CLA team, store associates, and customers.
Strong attention to detail.
Quality control demonstrated by accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work for quality.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan and complete multiple priorities.
Dependability, including consistently completing work on time, following instructions, responding to management direction, and seeking feedback for improvement.
Must have a smart device/tablet with access to reliable internet.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Must have a reliable vehicle for work purposes with at least the minimum required auto insurance coverage.
Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including reaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Prior Merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform merchandising tasks, including compliance checks, improving on-shelf availability, POP installs, building incremental displays, cut-ins/resets, and educating staff.
Promote brand awareness and sales by engaging and educating store associates and customers.
Build and maintain relationships by serving as a liaison between clients, store associates, and management in stores.
Visit assigned stores monthly within the territory; additional workload may arise from surge projects.
Use a smart device in-store to take photos and submit completion surveys.
Participate in demo opportunities on a seasonal basis.
Communicate and collaborate with the supervisor on other assigned duties.
