About The Position
Contributes to the organization by performing diagnostic tests as ordered by an Ophthalmologist. The Diagnostic Technician works with the Diagnostics team to provide services to a wide range of patients and their Physicians. This is a part time position, 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS). If not BLS certified at time of employment, must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
- 1-2 years of work experience.
- Diagnostic experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of technical procedures that require knowledge and good patient care, to include: a. Visual Testing b. Ocular Coherence Tomography(OCT) c. Corneal Topography d. IOL Master/Lenstar e. Basic IOL Calculations f. Pachemetry g. Specular Microscopy(ECC) h. Basic Fundus Photography i. External Photography for Ocular Plastics and Eye Muscle Documentation j. Preparing/Cleaning/Maintaining Exam Rooms
- Assumes responsibility with team for the overall cleanliness of diagnostic rooms
- Advises Director of any problems with equipment
- Complies with HIPPA regulations
- Responsible for continuing education and professional development
- All other duties as assigned
