About The Position

SFS is seeking experienced Retail Merchandisers to join its nationwide network of independent contractors. The role offers flexible, supplemental, project-based work servicing major retailers and brands. Clients provide service windows instead of fixed schedules, allowing contractors to choose projects and arrange work around their availability while meeting project requirements. Typical projects range from 12–20 hours per month; some retailer locations require service during the first two weeks of each month. Assignments may include merchandising, product resets, cut-ins, inventory audits, display maintenance, POP installation, stocking, and other retail support activities.

Contractors review project instructions, perform services to client requirements, and submit reports and photos using a mobile device on the same day work is completed. Work is primarily during weekday daytime service windows and may involve travel between retail locations. SFS provides merchandising, auditing, installation, and assembly services to manufacturers and retailers throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

Requirements

• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort using mobile technology for reporting and project documentation.
• Availability to complete assignments during retailer service windows, primarily weekday daytime hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned retail locations.
• Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) with internet access.
• Active email address for project communication and reporting.
• Ability to submit project completion reports and photos on the same day work is performed.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and merchandising standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as desired and accepted.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, using a mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day services are performed.
