About The Position

L&R is seeking a part-time to full-time Retail Merchandiser to service assigned retail stores. The Field Merchandiser ensures products are properly stocked, organized, and displayed, and supports store resets by implementing planograms, relocating products, setting shelves, and ensuring displays meet company and retailer standards. Territories include Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, Hawthorne, Inglewood, El Segundo, Gardena, Redondo Beach, and Hermosa Beach. The role offers up to 24 hours weekly, with service hours between 6 AM and 5 PM and an 8 PM drop-dead time when authorized.

Requirements

• Previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Ability to safely use a ladder or step stool to access elevated fixtures, signage, and products.
• Ability to perform physical work, frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency with tablets and smartphones.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Registered vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Car insurance.
• Motor vehicle report with three or fewer moving violations within the last 36 months.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with resets, planograms, and store footage.
• Knowledge of retail sales and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Place orders for required inventory according to store ordering guidelines using a company-supplied tablet and scanner with Repsly software.
• Service store routes according to assigned call frequencies and work closely with the District Manager.
• Follow the store visit process, including merchandising delivery from the previous order, completing task forms, taking photographs, ordering to maintain stock levels, and completing other requested projects.
• Implement planograms and schematics to reset cosmetic displays, fixtures, and sections according to provided instructions.
• Complete resets according to L&R standards and project timelines.
• Install and adjust shelving, hooks, and fixtures to meet planogram specifications.
• Process customer returns associated with resets according to L&R returns and reclamation guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies regarding invoicing, exchanges, and returns.
• Communicate efficiently with store associates during each store visit.
• Verify merchandise shipments upon receipt and check-in by authorized store personnel.
• Maintain professional communication with store management and associates.
• Clean and organize display cases and shelves.
• Conduct requested store surveys and audits, including photographing assigned departments to help address store issues.
• Service additional stores as business needs require.
