About The Position
Kalan is a third-generation consumer products company with over 50 years of experience in bringing trendy, fun products to stores. They are seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals to join their team as Retail Merchandisers. This role involves ensuring products are displayed attractively in retail locations. The position offers flexible hours, the opportunity for supplemental income, and a referral program. As an Independent Contractor (1099), you will have a self-managed role with short assignments, typically two visits per month, which may increase to weekly during the holiday season.
Requirements
- Reliable, professional, and punctual individuals who can work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using a smartphone/tablet with internet access for reporting.
- Ability to follow written instructions and communicate via email or phone.
- Ability to regularly lift 40 pounds, reach, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk.
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Merchandising or retail experience is a plus—but not required!
Responsibilities
- Merchandise and display products in assigned stores within 5 days of shipment arrival.
- Organize and refresh product displays using a planogram.
- Remove damaged or discontinued items.
- Take date-stamped photos of completed work and upload them via the reporting system.
- Submit an invoice via email for payment after each completed visit.
