About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may include cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates promote a positive store culture, accurately handle purchases and returns, support credit and loyalty programs, process and prepare merchandise, and maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices for internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
