About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role models customer experience practices, supports a positive store culture, accurately processes purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and follows merchandising procedures. It also includes preparing merchandise for the sales floor, participating in store recovery and cleanliness, supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards, and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
