About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately handles customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and participates in merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction activities. The position also requires following labor laws, policies, and procedures and performing other duties as assigned. This is a seasonal position at the TJ Maxx store in Carrollton, Georgia. Starting pay is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
