Part Time Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer service and transaction processing, supporting credit and loyalty programs, preparing and merchandising products, maintaining sales-floor recovery and store cleanliness, and participating in safety and shrink-reduction programs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and gives and receives recognition and constructive feedback. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
