About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate models established customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, processes customer transactions and merchandise according to company procedures, and supports merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately and according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
