Retail Manager
About The Position
The Spooky Nook Sports Retail Manager leads the on-site retail and apparel business. The role manages inventory, vendor relationships, merchandise sales, and apparel production while creating an exceptional guest experience for athletes, families, and visitors. The manager oversees day-to-day retail operations and apparel production, supports tournaments and special events, and trains, coaches, and schedules team members at the Pennsylvania and Ohio locations as needed. The position works in an upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. The schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role involves regular movement, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, and smelling; frequent stooping, kneeling, or crouching; and occasional handling of items up to 25 pounds. The environment has variable noise levels.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Five years of related management experience or a minimum of two years of retail store manager experience.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising.
- Dependable transportation to and from work.
- Fluent knowledge of English, including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication.
- Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodations as necessary.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Highly dependable, with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrates integrity, initiative, teamwork, positivity, and kindness.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day retail operations for Spooky Nook Sports.
- Operate and oversee apparel production equipment, including on-site screen printing for tournaments and special events.
- Support large-scale tournaments and special events, including weekend operations and apparel sales.
- Purchase, receive, and maintain inventory levels for apparel and retail merchandise.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Analyze sales performance and recommend new products and merchandising opportunities.
- Train, coach, and schedule team members at both Pennsylvania and Ohio locations as needed.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to athletes, families, guests, co-workers, and company management.
