About The Position

This 12-week paid internship offers a firsthand view into retail management at LOFT Outlet in Sunbury, OH. Interns will actively participate in bringing the brand to life within stores, working with various retail leaders from store management to district leadership and corporate business partners. The role emphasizes an inclusive culture focused on growth and development towards individualized career goals. The program provides hands-on experience in retail management through functional area touchpoints, developmental opportunities, and executive exposure. Interns will build leadership and people skills, leverage tools for an efficient customer-focused environment, motivate associates, identify business trends, monitor key metrics, coach for positive results, communicate and collaborate effectively, and gain merchandising experience by planning, executing, and adjusting visual directives.

Requirements

Must be a current college junior, senior or recent college graduate
Able to provide professional and/or academic recommendations

Communicate effectively with customers, managers, business partners, associates, and peers
Organize, delegate, and prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Able to maneuver around the sales floor, stockroom, and office, and lift up to 20 lbs., and retrieve and stock merchandise

Responsibilities

Leverage available tools and resources to ensure an efficient, customer-focused environment
Motivate associates to anticipate the customers' needs and exceed her expectations
Identify business trends and opportunities, monitor key metrics, and coach to successfully encourage behaviors that drive positive results and lead to business growth
Effectively communicate and collaborate with teams to problem solve and reach resolution
Gain experience in merchandising through planning, executing, and adjusting visual directives to support business priorities
