About The Position

St. Moritz Security Services, Inc. is seeking a High-End Retail Loss Prevention Security Officer for their Orlando Regional Office. With over 43 years in the security industry, St. Moritz emphasizes the importance of its people in implementing successful security programs. This role focuses on observing and reporting activities to ensure security at assigned locations. The ideal candidate will be professional and adhere to a strict uniform policy.

Requirements

  • At least two years of security experience, preferably in loss prevention.
  • High-End Retail Security experience is a plus.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Black suit and tie uniform are required during shifts.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to write effective, concise, and legible reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to be very customer service oriented, with the ability to professionally interact with all levels of individuals.
  • Must possess a valid registration/permit/license required by the state in which the employee is employed (Florida D License).
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
  • Ability to provide reliable transportation (or access public transportation) to consistently get to and from work on time.

Nice To Haves

  • Current or prior military experience.
  • College education in the security field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional-level work experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military, and/or customer service highly desired.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations, or other functions of the security industry a plus.
  • May require a current state driver’s license, clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate motor vehicle, golf cart, and/or bicycle if assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Observing and reporting all activity at assigned locations.
  • Conducting foot patrols, vehicular patrols, golf cart patrols, and/or bicycle patrols of interior and/or exterior areas.
  • Reporting suspicious activities and suspicious persons.
  • Writing detailed narrative reports and maintaining daily activity reports (DAR’s).
  • Enforcing post orders, site rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Responding to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
  • Executing security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines.
  • Identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions, or hazards.
  • Performing site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, and other safety and security roles.
  • Contacting appropriate individuals (Site Supervision, Field Management, etc.) as directed.
  • Knowing all site-specific policies and procedures and implementing emergency response activities.
  • Following all company procedures, maintaining acceptable attendance, and adhering to grooming and customer service standards.
  • Participating in all company and site required orientation and training programs.
  • Responding to incidents during shift in conformity with Post Orders and the Company’s Use of Force Policy.
  • Conducting security, customer service, or support functions as directed by supervisor or client request.
