This position is responsible for executing daily tasks related to Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. Key duties include maintaining positive relationships with Store Management, conducting apprehensions in line with company policies, and communicating with store Associates regarding damage and shrink initiatives. The role involves identifying and resolving both internal and external theft, adhering to established shoplifter guidelines, and providing excellent customer service. The detective will promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintain confidentiality, and participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned. Responsibilities also include ensuring apprehensions align with store theft activity, accurately completing and distributing paperwork, maintaining appropriate evidence, understanding law enforcement procedures, and professionally engaging in legal activities such as police calls. The role coordinates and completes shrink-related activities with Store Management, adheres to all labor laws and policies, supports store shrink reduction goals, encourages Associate use of shrink reduction resources, and promotes safety awareness to maintain a safe environment.
