Requirements

  • Knowledge of organizational practices, policies, and procedures and compliance with same.

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Two years retail work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Adherence to attendance and punctuality policies.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • Answer and resolve customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Close store, reconcile cash with daily sales reports, and secure store/facility in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Supervise the sales floor, processing area, and donation center to ensure accountability.
  • Perform work of retail associates.
  • Maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
  • Assist in training, supervising, and mentoring retail associates.
  • Stock and maintain merchandise on the sales floor.
  • Promote sales by setting up displays and arranging merchandise.
  • Receive cash, credit card payments, etc., for goods; issue change and receipts; assist customers in accurate transaction application.
  • Open store and prepare the store/facility for business in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Prepare and maintain records of store operations, including daily sales reports, cash deposits, and opening/closing reports.
  • Communicate and document progress, concerns, and problems to Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Observe customer behavior and report suspicious behavior to supervisor or security.
  • Operate material handling equipment.
  • In conjunction with the Manager and/or Assistant Manager, supervise employees in the assigned store/facility, including training, planning, assigning, directing work, cash accountability, and securing company assets.
