About The Position

The Retail Lead supports the Retail Branch Manager by leading daily store operations, ensuring consistent execution of procedures, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role serves as an operational lead on the sales floor and in the warehouse, providing directions on tasks and daily workflow. The Retail Lead is a hands-on role focused on execution, problem-solving, and acting as a point of contact when the Branch Manager is unavailable.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail or customer-facing experience.
Strong knowledge of daily retail operations.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in agricultural or specialty retail.
Familiarity with inventory systems and point-of-sale software.
Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

Serve as the primary point of contact for daily operational questions and workflow coordination when the manager is unavailable.
Provide direction and support to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to company standards.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, ensuring operational readiness and accuracy.
Monitor daily store activity and help prioritize workload to meet customer and business needs.
Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers professionally and resolving routine concerns.
Support team members in handling customer inquiries, product questions, and service needs.
Escalate complex customer issues to the Retail Branch Manager as needed.
Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs or discrepancies.
Support merchandising efforts, ensuring displays are clean, stocked, and aligned with promotional plans.
Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Support daily paperwork, operational reporting, and documentation.
Helps retail management with branch scheduling
Assists in interviewing and provides recommendations for hiring decisions
Ensure accurate use of point-of-sale systems and customer record updates.
Help maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
Promotes and model safe work practices at all times.
Identify and report potential safety hazards
Abide by all safety regulations to ensure safety of oneself, coworkers and customers
