The Part Time Sales Lead is an entry-level leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and executing day-to-day store operations. This role supports the Store Manager by implementing customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards to ensure a positive customer experience. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Retail or customer-facing experience preferred but not required.
  • Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
  • Minimum availability of 30 hours per week including one weekend day and rotating holidays, additional availability a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
  • Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., cash register, computers, phones, scanners, etc.).
  • Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
  • Walking and moving to assist customers, retrieve merchandise and recover the store.
  • Lifting and carrying, ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking the store.
  • Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
  • Manual labor is required occasionally to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
  • Vision to accurately read labels, assist customers, and tasks that require attention to detail.
  • Ability to use fine manipulation, and grasp with hands to sort and organize clothing, ex. place on hangers, folding, organize in color/size order.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellence in customer service by upholding high retail standards.
  • Initiate conversations with customers, build relationships, identify interests, and suggest products.
  • Assist customers in the fitting room.
  • Recommend products aligned with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling.
  • Build brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieving loyalty sign-up goals.
  • Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
  • Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
  • Provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing, freight processing, accurately processing transactions, handling cash, and maintaining point-of-sale integrity.
  • Follow company and store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Assign tasks to team members as directed to support operational needs.
  • React quickly to all customer and/or employee injuries and report them immediately to the Manager on Duty.
  • Participate in Loss Prevention Audits and comply with company loss prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
  • Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of other leadership team members.
  • Regularly communicate employee concerns directly to the Store Manager.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.
