Retail Inventory Control Associate
About The Position
OXXO USA (Southwest Convenience Stores) is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Inventory Control Associate for a field-based role in Abilene, Texas. The associate records accurate inventory levels across retail locations by performing physical counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring inventory is properly tracked and secure. This is a collaborative role that involves working with a partner as well as independently in a fast-paced retail environment. It requires regular travel among stores in the assigned market and may include travel outside that market to support broader inventory operations. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and involves extended periods of standing, bending, walking, and counting inventory. Activities support the organization’s strategy and vision and must comply with applicable requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws, HIPAA, and ERISA. Duties may be assigned or reassigned, and the description may not cover every task or responsibility.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort standing, bending, and walking for extended periods, up to eight hours per day.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned market.
- Basic math and reporting skills.
- Computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

- Two or more years of retail or inventory control experience.
Responsibilities
- Conduct audits at assigned stores within the schedule set by the Retail Inventory Control Manager.
- Perform accurate physical inventory counts of retail stock across assigned store locations.
- Reconcile inventory records and report audit results to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date records of audits and suggested retail pricing.
- Conduct compliance surveys and loss prevention audits.
- Minimize disruption to store operations during inventory activities.
- Travel to multiple store locations within the assigned market and, as needed, outside the market to support broader inventory operations.
- Manage time effectively to meet weekly inventory goals and deadlines.
