About The Position

In this role you will be responsible for the operation of various packaging machinery. The Label Operator at the Wayland location assists the Filler Operator with powder, cap, bottle changes, and the application of labels and codes to different size containers. You will also provide support to the Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:
Operator must have the mechanical ability to perform necessary adjustments and size changeover of Fuji labeler and other packaging equipment.
Have the ability to make necessary adjustments and maintain production rates for labeler and other machinery.
Maintain accurate production records and samples.
Maintain quality standards for packaging, coding and labeling.
Must comply with the requirements defined within the contents of the GMP’S, SOP’s, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), LOTO procedures, foods safety programs and all other policies established by Bay Valley Foods.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written
• Experience with operating a sit-down forklift
• The ability to work overtime and weekends
• All employees are responsible for the quality and food safety of all products produced in this facility.
