Retail & Growler Shack Team (Kona)
About The Position
Kona Brewing is hiring Retail & Growler Shack Team Members to welcome guests and provide friendly service in its retail shop and growler shack. Team members help guests shop for merchandise, share information about beers and growler offerings, and make each visit memorable. The role includes filling growlers and preparing beer-to-go orders in accordance with company procedures and applicable alcohol-service requirements; processing cash and card purchases using a point-of-sale system; receiving, organizing, restocking, and displaying merchandise; maintaining clean and organized retail, equipment, and storage areas; supporting inventory counts; and working with teammates to maintain smooth service during busy periods. Team members must follow company policies for safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol sales. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Requirements
- A welcoming attitude and genuine interest in helping guests.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks.
- Comfort handling transactions and learning a point-of-sale system.
- Willingness to learn about beer, merchandise, and service standards.
- Availability to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bend, reach, and stock merchandise; and lift or move items weighing up to 30–60 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Retail, hospitality, or customer-service experience is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, attentive service.
- Help guests shop for merchandise, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Share information about beers, growler offerings, and merchandise.
- Fill growlers and handle beer-to-go orders in accordance with company procedures and applicable alcohol-service requirements.
- Process purchases accurately using the point-of-sale system, including cash and credit card transactions.
- Receive, organize, restock, and display merchandise.
- Keep the retail shop, growler shack, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and ready for service.
- Support inventory counts and communicate when products or supplies are running low.
- Work closely with teammates to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
- Follow company policies and procedures for safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol sales.
