Retail Freight Associate
About The Position
The Retail Freight Associate, internally classified as a Receiving Specialist, assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The role handles freight, supports merchandising, maintains an organized receiving area, and helps ensure efficient store operations. The position requires regular availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, along with the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, gripping, reaching, pinching, and standing for extended periods. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.
Responsibilities
- Assist with receiving delivery trucks and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
- Support pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
- Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
- Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
