About The Position

The Retail Freight Associate assists with receiving, processing, and moving merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. The role handles freight, supports merchandising, maintains an organized receiving area, and contributes to efficient store operations. The posting notes that the title may differ from Ollie’s internal job title; the internal title is Receiving Specialist.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to bend, twist, grip, reach, and pinch frequently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a safe manner.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.
• Help train new Associates.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
