Retail Field, POS & Network Technicians
About The Position
Flexible Field, POS & Network technicians are encouraged to apply. This role involves implementing, maintaining, upgrading, and/or repairing networks and networked devices such as access points, routers, switches, POS systems, printers, and modems. The technician will set up and troubleshoot connections in various environments, using physical cables or wireless frequencies to ensure adequate signal strength for client use. Upcoming consistent POS work is scheduled to begin in April 2026. This position is suitable for freelancers, small business owners, or individuals with flexible weekday availability who can potentially work around other commitments.
Requirements
- Current Driver’s License, insurance, and a vehicle.
- Previous IT, POS, FIELD or Related technical technician experience is required.
- Technically inclined – experience with Cabling runs/ management/ testing/ terminating, Network provisioning.
- Excellent communication skills via phone, text, and email.
- Smart Phone mobile device.
- Flexible availability.
- Frequent use of hand tools.
- Travel is required in various markets.
- Lifting 60lbs or more.
- Able to climb up and down ladders.
- Testing networks Wi-Fi signals, heat mapping.
- Installing, troubleshooting access points, routers, switches.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Superior knowledge of various networking technologies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Aptitude for customer support.
- Over the age of 18.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications are a plus but not required.
- POS experience is a plus.
