About The Position

The Retail Field Auditor position is part of the Home Team, which supports various functions across the Clayton enterprise, including wellbeing, internal audit, accounting/finance, marketing, legal, campus operations, and more. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of retail operations. Clayton is a leading single-family home builder dedicated to attainable housing, sustainable practices, and creating a world-class experience for customers and team members. Requirements

• Experience in auditing or a related field.
• Knowledge of internal control principles and audit methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the home building or retail industry.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CIA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of retail locations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls within the retail operations.
• Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
• Collaborate with retail management to implement corrective actions.
• Perform financial and operational audits as required.
