About The Position

One Vision Thrift Solutions is hiring a Full-Time Department Manager for our Fort Dodge Thrift Store. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a retail environment, enjoys leading a team, and wants to take ownership of store operations, marketing, and social media engagement. One Vision is a nonprofit organization that supports individuals with disabilities, helping them find meaningful work, homes, and personal independence. Our thrift stores play a vital role in funding these services, meaning your work directly impacts the lives of others. As a hands-on retail leader, you'll oversee daily store operations while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. You will lead and supervise your own team-coaching, training, and motivating staff to meet sales and production goals. You will drive marketing and social media efforts, building awareness and engagement for the store's promotions, events, and community involvement. You will ensure exceptional customer service, positive donor interactions, and smooth volunteer experiences. You will also support the Store Manager with scheduling, merchandising, inventory, and performance management. Requirements

  • 1+ year retail sales or customer service experience (required).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable using social media platforms to promote store events, sales, and community engagement.
  • High school diploma or GED (required).
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership/management experience strongly preferred-ability to coach and develop team members.
