About The Position

The Retail Department Coordinator is responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience and overseeing Associates at the front of the store. The role ensures prompt, courteous customer service and promotes loyalty programs. The Coordinator leads by example through customer engagement, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling outstanding service. The position also supports front-end operations, Associate training, store priorities, safety, and shrink-reduction goals.

Requirements

Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Strong understanding of merchandising techniques.
Capable of multitasking.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
Able to train others.
One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Train and mentor Associates on front-end principles and on personalizing customer interactions while promoting loyalty programs.
Assign registers, support and respond to POS coverage needs, and coordinate Associate breaks.
Address customer concerns and issues promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.
Ensure Associates execute tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Communicate effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities, and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
