Retail Delivery Driver - East Mesa
About The Position
JARS Cannabis is hiring full-time Retail Delivery Drivers to safely and professionally deliver cannabis products to customers. This fast-paced, customer-facing role combines driving, compliance, and cash handling. Drivers represent JARS at customers’ doors, so professionalism and attention to detail are important at every stop. JARS provides a new company vehicle for deliveries; drivers do not use their personal cars. The role includes scheduled shifts, ongoing communication with Dispatch, use of company apps and in-vehicle technology, and adherence to safety and cannabis delivery requirements. No cannabis industry experience is required, and JARS provides full training. New drivers first complete budtender training at a nearby retail location before driver-specific training.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old.
- Have prior driving experience.
- Have a clean Arizona driving record for the past five years.
- Pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Pass a standard background check and a fingerprint background check.
- Have open availability to work all shift windows listed for the location.
- Regularly lift and carry delivery bags in and out of the vehicle.
- Sit for extended periods while driving; repeatedly get in and out of the vehicle; walk to doors, porches, and apartment buildings in all weather; and stand and move for the full duration of an eight-hour shift.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver cannabis products to customers’ homes in accordance with state and local cannabis delivery laws.
- Handle and count cash payments accurately and professionally, including collecting tips.
- Communicate with Dispatch throughout the shift to confirm routes, report delays or issues, and receive direction about order changes.
- Use in-vehicle technology and company apps to navigate routes, track deliveries, and log completed stops.
- Follow safety protocols, including wearing a body camera during customer interactions and never entering a customer’s residence.
- Perform basic pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including order staging, inventory support, and packaging.
