Part Time - Retail Customer Service & Store Recovery
About The Position
This part-time role focuses on maintaining the store's appearance and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include ensuring store cleanliness and recovery standards are met, assisting customers with their shopping needs, and performing various cleaning tasks. The role also involves customer interaction at checkout, promoting loyalty programs, assisting with online order fulfillment, participating in stocking and inventory processes, and supporting safety and loss prevention initiatives. Adherence to standard operating procedures and company policies is essential.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.
- Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Nice To Haves
- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
- Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
- Deep clean key areas of the store such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
- Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
- Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
- Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
- Execute Company policies and standards.
