About The Position

The Retail Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring efficient processing by Associates, and providing an excellent customer experience through engagement and maintaining a clean, organized store. This role models exceptional customer service, promotes a culture of honesty and integrity, and orchestrates truck delivery while prioritizing merchandise processing. The Coordinator trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles, ensures proper merchandise handling, and communicates with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow to the sales floor. They also monitor team productivity, coach as necessary, organize back stock, maintain merchandising and signage standards, and uphold backroom organization and cleanliness. Compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, clear communication with management and Associates, and providing/accepting feedback are key. The role partners with Management on Associate training needs and ensures adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the Coordinator promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports shrink reduction goals, and promotes safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Executing receiving and merchandising standards
Ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team
Ensuring an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store
Role modeling exceptional customer service
Creating a positive internal and external customer experience
Promoting a culture of honesty and integrity; maintaining confidentiality
Orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
Training and mentoring Associates on established merchandising and processing principles
Ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
Communicating with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
Ensuring Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizing as needed
Monitoring productivity of team and coaching as necessary
Organizing and rotating back stock for easy replenishment
Maintaining and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
Ensuring compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs
Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; providing progress updates
Providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback
Partnering with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
Ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Promoting credit and loyalty programs
Supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Promoting safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment
