About The Position

Arcus is looking to recruit a part-time, permanent In-Store Cleaner for the Sainsbury's Darlington store. This role is vital to ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the supermarket for customers. The position involves completing daily cleaning tasks to maintain high standards, including operating machinery and performing thorough cleaning activities such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping. Responsibilities may extend to cleaning various areas like toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and oven canopies, as well as external areas like trolley bays. Health and safety procedures must be adhered to at all times. Arcus will provide full training for this role.

Requirements

Previous cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as on the job training will be supplied.
An eye for detail and cleanliness.
A positive attitude to cleaning and customer service.
Must provide a smartphone that has NFC capability to access the Arcus Connect App for recording time and attendance.

Responsibilities

Complete daily cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standard of cleaning within Sainsbury's stores.
Operate machinery.
Carry out thorough cleaning activities including mopping, vacuuming, wiping, and sweeping.
Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, or oven canopies.
Keep trolley bays clean, free of leaves and debris.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are applied.
