At DICK’S Sporting Goods, the Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences by creating an exceptional shopping experience for customers through their eagerness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand and execution standards, and efficient execution of Front-End operations. The role involves greeting customers, understanding their needs, supporting their shopping experience, and processing sales transactions and returns. Cashiers also promote company programs (such as customer loyalty, warranty sales, and private label credit card enrollment) and adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures. They are expected to maintain confidentiality of company information, create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected, and support the team across the store by taking an all-hands-on-deck approach. Cashiers also perform other tasks as assigned by management.
