About The Position
Provide guests with exceptional service in the retail department. This position is responsible for accurately processing transactions, assisting guests with product knowledge, maintaining merchandise displays, and contributing to a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, confident, capable of working independently or as part of a team, and able to maintain composure during busy or stressful times.
Requirements
- Effective communication: Ability to interact clearly and professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Guest interaction: Comfortable engaging extensively with guests.
- Positive demeanor: Maintain a friendly attitude and always wear a smile.
- High school diploma or GED is desired.
- At least one year of guest service or similar experience.
- Experience with Windows and Google Suite software ranging from six months to one year is preferred.
- At least one year of cash handling experience is also preferred, along with ten-key ability by touch.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Folding merchandise.
- Using POS terminals.
- Maintain focus.
- Communicate clearly.
- Perform tasks in a busy retail environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Windows and Google Suite software ranging from six months to one year is preferred.
- At least one year of cash handling experience is also preferred, along with ten-key ability by touch.
Responsibilities
- Accurately handle cash, credit, or debit transactions.
- Manage all sales transactions efficiently and with accuracy.
- Use POS software (SnowCloud) to process sales and complete transactions.
- Learn product knowledge to suggest appropriate products to guests.
- Maintain merchandise displays by folding clothing and resetting products on shelves.
- Proactively greet guests and confidently engage with them.
- Follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Perform tasks unsupervised as required.
- Adhere to POS opening and closing procedures.
- Complete routine and special assignments thoroughly and proactively.
- Stay calm and professional during high-stress periods.
- Be a competent and willing team player.
- Deliver service consistent with Mission Ridge’s expectations.
