About The Position
Provide guest service in line with SMSC GE's culture of Purpose, Vision, and Values. Applies high guest service standards. Processes transactions pertaining to retail charges. Reconciles cash-drawer. Processes retail sales transactions.
Requirements
- Six months' sales and guest service experience
- Ability to pass basic math test
- Must have working knowledge of cash register and computer operations
- Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
Responsibilities
- Perform open and close gift shop procedures
- Operate POS system
- Process merchandise sales, ticketing, credit, debit, and cash transactions
- Ensure daily cash reports are accurate and complete
- Provide visitor reception, including information in the form of SMSC outreach brochures, and/or other media
- Assist with creating visual merchandising displays incorporating seasonal themes
- Monitor the retail area’s physical condition and appearance and ensure security of inventory
- Other duties as assigned
