The Cashier is responsible for receiving money from and disbursing money to customers, while maintaining a high level of customer service at all times. This role involves identifying items and their costs, tabulating bills accurately, issuing receipts and change, and maintaining the cash register and its contents. The Cashier will also be responsible for greeting customers, answering questions, providing information on products and promotions, and thanking each customer. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean and orderly cash station and retail operation, stocking supplies and products, and being aware of safety issues, reporting them immediately to management.
