Retail Cashier Part Time
About The Position
Love’s cashiers work in a fast-paced environment, providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service while helping maintain clean facilities. Cashiers may perform different duties according to business needs, so flexibility and teamwork are important. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The role includes helping customers find products and answering questions, processing transactions and offering additional sales opportunities, maintaining food-safety conditions for fresh food and deli products, and cleaning work areas and other parts of the facility. Team members may also cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
Requirements
- Flexibility and teamwork skills.
- Ability to move and lift 25 or more pounds.
- Ability to work in various temperatures.
Responsibilities
- Help customers find items, answer questions about products and services, and address customer needs.
- Complete customer transactions and balance the cash register while following state and local laws.
- Offer additional sales opportunities to customers.
- Use methods and technology to ensure proper food-safety conditions for fresh food and deli products.
- Clean the direct work area, sales floor, restrooms, showers, and gas and diesel pumps; complete trash runs.
- Potentially cross-train in Restaurant Services, Fresh Kitchen, Facility Maintenance, and leadership roles.
